Do you want to contribute to better health for everyone?

Karolinska Institutet (KI) is looking for a communicator who wants to combine creative content production with strategic and data-driven work in digital and social channels.

Do you have experience working both operationally and long-term, as well as an interest in how new technology and AI can enhance digital communication? Then this could be the role for you.

Your role

In this role, you will be a key person in KI's digital presence and, together with colleagues in the communications department, drive the ongoing work in our social channels. You are creative, trend-sensitive, and comfortable with tools like Adobe CC, Canva, and CapCut. Through structured follow-up and analysis, you will translate data and insights into concrete improvements in content, formats, and working methods over time.

The position is located within the unit for digital communication channels, which consists of about ten colleagues with specialist expertise in digital communication, digital strategy, web management, social media, and search and analysis. The unit is one of three within KI's central communications department, which totals around 40 employees.

You will work with social channels at both operational and strategic levels. Your tasks will include:

  • developing ideas, concepts, and content (text, images, and videos) for Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube
  • creating, executing, and optimizing campaigns, both organic and sponsored
  • working data-driven with analysis, A/B testing, and optimization
  • following up and analyzing results based on relevant KPIs such as reach, engagement, CTR, and conversions
  • contributing to the development of our social channels in line with changing platforms, algorithms, and user behaviors
  • supporting and guiding colleagues in content production for social media
  • collaborating with internal teams and coordinating external partners and agencies as needed

Who are you?

You enjoy producing content yourself and have the ability to work long-term, analyze effects, and develop digital presence based on set goals. You take initiative, drive ideas forward, and are an engaged team player who creates understanding and anchoring for goals and direction.

You keep up with developments in digital communication and can translate new formats, techniques, and platform changes into practical and relevant work.

To be considered for the position, you need to have:

  • a relevant university or college degree, or other education deemed equivalent
  • several years of experience independently planning, executing, and following up on efforts in social media, with personal result responsibility
  • documented experience of operational work across multiple social media platforms, such as Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube
  • very good experience in setting up, following up, and optimizing paid campaigns in tools like Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, and TikTok Ads
  • very good knowledge of analytics tools, such as Google Analytics or equivalent, and the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • understanding of how search behavior and search intent affect digital campaigns and how social media, web, and search interact in the digital customer journey
  • documented ability to produce and edit content (text, images, and videos) in tools like Adobe CC and/or Canva
  • experience in structured and data-driven follow-up of KPIs
  • documented knowledge of relevant laws and regulations for digital communication, such as GDPR, copyright, and marketing legislation
  • experience in training, coaching, and advising colleagues in their work with digital and social channels

It is a merit if you also have:

  • experience leading larger projects or working with project management in a complex organization
  • knowledge of how AI tools can be used for production, analysis, and streamlining of digital communication work
